What special services are available to passengers with disabilities?

Naturally, passengers with disabilities will be allowed to board first when travelling with Germanwings.

We will be happy to assist should you and the person accompanying you need extra help when checking in or boarding. Under “Optional services” in step 2 of the online booking process you can register for various types of assistance checking in, boarding or help reaching your seat on the aircraft. This is also where you register the transport of a wheelchair.

You can also use our mobile services to book extra assistance checking in or boarding.

If you want to reserve assistance for a flight you have already finished booking, you can do so up to 30 minutes before departure free of charge at “My Germanwings”. Log in and click on “Change booking” and “Add additional services”. Click here for further information on adding extras at a later date.
