Turin - historic Piedmont

The city of Turin is in the north-western Italian region of Piedmont. Surrounded by France to the west and Switzerland to the north, Turin has always been influenced by its neighbours. It also has major historical sites that are worth visiting, especially the Mole Antonelliana, the symbol of the city, built between 1863 and 1880. In the San Giovanni Cathedral you will see the main attraction of Turin, the linen shroud with the image of a man imprinted on it. Culture vultures can visit the Egyptian Museum that holds the second-largest collection of Egyptian artefacts.
