Travelling to and from Dusseldorf Airport (DUS)

Car:

Dusseldorf Airport has its own exit on the A44 motorway.

Rail:

Over 350 trains (from city trains to ICE services) stop at Dusseldorf Airport station every day. The station is to the east of the airport and there is a fully-automatic suspended monorail, the SkyTrain, connecting the station building and the terminal.

Suburban train:

Dusseldorf Airport has a suburban-train station called Dusseldorf Airport Terminal station with S11 services to Bergisch Gladbach.

SkyTrain:
The suspended monorail, SkyTrain, connects Dusseldorf Airport station to the terminal. It is quick and easy and operates between the station and the airport, stopping off at carpark P4 (with access to carparks P5 and P6). SkyTrains run every couple of minutes between Dusseldorf Airport station and the terminal with a stop at Carpark 4/5. There are two stops in the terminal building, ‘Terminal A/B’ and ‘Terminal C’. Each station is clearly signposted.

Bus:
The bus station is outside the central arrivals area. The 721, 760 and SB51 leave from here. At Dusseldorf Airport station there is another bus station where the 729, 759, 776 and SB51 stop.

Taxi:

There are always taxis available in front of the main arrivals area. Journey time to the city centre is around 20 minutes.

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

At Dusseldorf Airport (DUS)

Dusseldorf International is ‘North-Rhine Westphalia’s airport’ used as a hub for air travel in the Rhine-Ruhr region. It has the most flight connections in the region, many European destinations and ever more intercontinental services. Around 70,000 people go through the airport every day.

The Germanwings Airport Sales office is in Terminal area A.

Parking:

There are various short, medium and long-stay multi-storey carparks and parking spaces along the length of the airport. Business travellers can use the 10339 terminal parking spaces, which are less than 5 minutes from the airport building. Holidaymakers looking for lower fees can park in the long-stay or long-stay-saver zones with over 9941 spaces available. These multi-storey carparks and parking spaces are no more than 15 minutes on foot from the terminal, or are connected via a shuttle bus or the SkyTrain.
