Brindisi – the perfect place for a relaxing holiday
This romantic harbour city lies at the southern edge of Italy and lends its name to the surrounding province. It is hard not to fall under the spell of Brindisi’s charming little harbour on the Adriatic coast. There is also lots to see such as the Aragonese and Svevo castles and the 18-m high Colenne del Porta columns.
The city was founded several centuries before Christ and was conquered in c. 267 B.C. by the Romans. You can see Brindisi’s long history reflected in the historic old town with its old buildings, a must for culture vultures.
