Germanwings: Seat reservation

Get the seat of your choice!

You can reserve a seat during or after the booking process (up to 3 hours before departure). You can choose from the two options below:

standard seat for 8 € / £7*
Best Seat with more legroom for 15 € / £13* (rows 1 – 10)

If you do not reserve a seat, we will assign you one when you check in.

Best Seat

Best Seats offer you more legroom at the front of the plane (rows 1 – 10). Our Best Seat offers more legroom and a seat in the front of the plane (rows 1 to 10). Simply book the Smart fare bracket, which includes a Best Seat and one item of checked luggage (up to 23 kg) free of charge, as well as a snack and a drink on board. Make a huge saving on booking these services individually.

You can book a Best Seat in the Basic fare bracket for just 15 € / £13*.

Private Seat

If the seat next to yours is still free, you can reserve it for even more comfort.

You can book ‘private seats’ after you have completed your booking by contacting the call centre. There is no seat reservation surcharge or surcharge when booking via the call centre. If you book your private seat on the same day up to midnight, you pay the same fare as for your own seat. When booking private seats at a later date, the flight fare on the day you book will be due.

Connecting flights

You can reserve seats in advance for all legs of journeys on connecting flights. The reservation fee is levied individually for each individual leg.

Groups

If you would like to reserve seats for a group, please contact our groups department.

Infants

It is not possible to reserve a seat for infants under the age of 2 who travel on an adult’s lap with a loop-belt.
