Can my child travel alone?
Germanwings can only carry children under 12 years of age if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
If the accompanying adult is not the child’s parent or guardian, we will need written permission from the parent or guardian. We will not be able to carry the child without this written permission.
Children under 12 must be booked in along with an accompanying adult (same booking number). If this is not the case, please contact our call centre 3 days prior to departure on ++44 (0) 870 252 12 50 (Opening hours: 7:00 - 20:00) so that a note to this effect can be entered in the reservation of the accompanying adult.
We do not offer an escort service for children under 12 travelling alone.
Children and young people aged under 14 who are travelling on their own must have their own passport plus written authorization from their parents to enter/exit Croatia. The authorization must be certified by a notary public.
