Can I take musical instruments with me as hand baggage?
We will accept musical instruments on board as hand luggage providing they are no larger than a guitar.
Musical instruments that are larger than a guitar will only be carried on board if they occupy an extra seat (for fee see General Conditions of Carriage (GCC), Article 17 “Transport of large musical instruments“).
Because of their length double basses are not allowed in the cabin.
Germanwings assumes no liability for the transport of musical instruments in the cabin.
