Germanwings: Seat reservation

Where would you like to sit? On the aisle? By the window? You choose! You can reserve a seat in advance for 6 € or an XL seat (more legroom) for 15 € per person and leg (for flights within Germany VAT must be added).

Seat reservation (except XL seats) is free for FlexPlus customers. If you don't reserve a seat, you will automatically be allocated one when you check in.

It’s easy to reserve your seat up to 3 hours before departure – during the online booking process, via the call centre or at the airport desk. Online you can do so in the second step of the reservation (“Select additional services”) by clicking on the seat you want in the chart. Once you have completed the booking process, you can reserve your seat subsequently by going to the My Germanwings section. You can also reserve seats after booking via the call centre or at the airport desk. If you want to reserve seats for a group, please contact our group department.

How about extra room and comfort on the plane? Why not book a private seat, meaning the seat next to you is kept free? After you have booked your flight you can contact the call centre to book a private seat. We do not apply the seat reservation charge or the processing fee when you book a private seat via the call centre. If you pay for the private seat before midnight on the day you book, you simply pay the same price as for your own seat. For private seats booked at a later date, the online flight fare published at germanwings.com on the day of the booking will apply.

We unfortunately cannot reserve seats for infants under 2 travelling on an adult's lap with a loop-belt. .

Where there are flight connections you can reserve your seat for all legs in advance. There is a reservation fee for each single leg.
