Where would you like to sit? On the aisle? By the window? You choose! You can reserve a seat in advance on all your Germanwings flights.  We only charge a €5 fee per seat per flight. For flights within Germany VAT must be added. Seat reservation is free for FlexPlus customers and bookings made with the new Germanwings card. If you don't reserve a seat, you will automatically be allocated one when you check in.

Up to 24 hours before departure


You can reserve your seat easily and conveniently up to 24 hours before departure - by booking online, by phoning the Call Centre or in person at the airport desk. You can reserve online in step three ("overview") of the booking process. Just click on the desired seat on the seat chart. Unfortunately you cannot reserve your seat online once the booking process is complete. In such cases you can only reserve seats by calling the Call Centre or at the airport desk. If you need seat reservations for groups, please contact our group department.

Small children

We unfortunately cannot reserve seats for infants under 2 travelling on an adult's lap with a loop-belt. .

Flight connections

Where there are flight connections you can reserve your seat for all legs in advance. There is a reservation fee for each single leg.
