How does Web Check-In work?
You will find the “Web Check-In” section under “Info & Services”. Select the legs and passenger you want to check in entering the six-figure booking code. You can check in all passengers under the booking in one go, even infants. When checking in online please use the same spelling of the name as in the booking confirmation.
With online check-in you can print off your boarding card three days before departure, as well as reserve your seat.
You can use online check-in between 72 and 3 hours before departure. If you depart from a German airport (except Rostock-Laage and Zweibrücken) you can check in online up to an hour before departure. Please note that you must be at the gate 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time at the latest.
If you are travelling with hand luggage only, you can go straight to the gate. Go to the check-in counter if you have luggage to check in or special luggage. If you’re flying from Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Munich or Stuttgart airport, you can also hand in your luggage at the specific baggage drop-off desk.
You can also check in online if you have golf equipment, bicycles, sports equipment such as bodyboards, surfboards, sailboards/hang-gliders, diving equipment, skis, snowboards and excess luggage.
Please note: Once you have checked in online you can no longer add extra services to your booking. After you have checked in online, the only way to register checked luggage is at the check-in desk at the airport.
