At Germanwings the safety of our passengers is our first concern. For this reason you may take your own child seat on board. What’s relevant for taking it on board is the corresponding seal “for use in aircraft” from the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV). The following seats are just some that have this seal:
• Storchenmühle Maximum SP, ID 2711305500
• Maxi Cosi Mico, ID 8011000571
• Maxi Cosi Citi, ID 8811410300
• Luftikid Uno / Duo, ID 7011000571
• Römer King Quickfix, ID 8811400300, approval no. 03301122
• Römer Baby Safe/Plus, approval no. 03301146, 04301146
Child seats are not provided by Germanwings. Passengers must bring their own seat along! You can only book via the call centre or at a Germanwings airport desk. You cannot book online. Please understand that as a rule we are only permitted to allow these child seats on board the aircraft. If a child seat does not comply with the requirements, our cabin crew are entitled to refuse its use and to stow the seat separately. If this happens, infants will be secured on an adult’s lap with a loop belt. Unfortunately, in such cases we are unable to refund the fare paid for the infant’s own seat.
