Why are there partially different taxes charged on the same route?
On domestic German flights VAT is levied on services provided by Germanwings, as well as on the net flight fare and charges. Differences in flight fares thus mean differences in VAT.
On €19.99 flights and specifically marked flights (e.g. €29.99 or €39.99 all incl.! flights) Germanwings assumes a part of the charges due.
These flights are designated as being promotional flights.
