Can I check in musical instruments?
Yes, you can check in musical instruments in hard cases, if they are the size of a guitar or smaller.
Musical instruments in a soft case can only be taken on as hand luggage: musical instruments larger than a guitar must be carried on a private seat and a fee will be charged.
Due to their length, we never allow double basses into the cabin.
Germanwings accepts no liability for the transport of musical instruments in the cabin.
