What do I do if my checked baggage has been damaged?


We are very sorry if your baggage has been damaged during a Germanwings flight.

In order to allow us to process your damage claim, please send the following documents (originals only) by post to the address underneath:

 

  • Booking code (confirmation number from the internet)
  • Damage report from your destination airport, which must be received within 7 days.   Reports received after this cannot be taken into consideration.
  • Receipt/report from a luggage shop on the value/condition of the damaged piece of luggage
  • Your bank details (including IBAN and Swift code in the case of foreign banks)
  • Your telephone number in case we have any further questions or need to give you any information
  • Your baggage tag
