Travelling to and from London Heathrow Airport (LHR)

Car:

Heathrow airport is located 15 miles west of central London and can be easily reached using the M4 and M25 motorways.

Train and underground:

The non-stop Heathrow Express connects the airport with London Paddington train station every 15 minutes. Tickets are around £14.50. Stopping Heathrow Connect trains take 25 minutes. Underground Piccadilly-line trains take just under an hour to central London.

There are bus services to over 500 local and national destinations from the terminals and the main bus station.

Taxi:

Authorised London taxis leave from outside the terminals. Journey time to central London is around an hour and fares range from £40 - £70.

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

London Heathrow is the world’s busiest international airport. The airport has four terminals and serves over 180 destinations in more than 90 countries. The number and frequency of flights from Heathrow make it a real world transport hub. It is located 15 miles west of central London.
