Travelling to and from Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Car:

The A3, A67 and A5 motorways all link to Frankfurt airport. Follow signs for ‘Flughafen’ and then Terminal 1 or 2.

Rail:

Frankfurt Airport has two stations, the regional station and the long-distance station. Deutsche Bahn operates services throughout Germany and further afield in Europe from the long-distance station. For more information

SkyLine and shuttle bus:

The SkyLine connects Terminals 1 and 2. There are stops in Terminal 1, Hall B and Terminal 2, between D and E. Trains run every 2 to 3 minutes and the journey takes about 2 minutes. Shuttle bus-stops are located outside the terminals. Buses operate every ten minutes.

Bus:

There are many bus services to and from the airport. Bus stops are located outside Terminal 1 on the arrivals level and Terminal 2, level 2.

Taxi:

There are taxis outside each terminal around the clock. Depending on traffic journey time is between 20 and 30 minutes.

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

At Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Frankfurt Main Airport is Germany’s most important airport hub and the second largest in Europe. It is 12 km from Frankfurt city centre and there are direct train services to Frankfurt main station. The Germanwings Airport Sales desk is on level E02 in the gallery.

Parking:

Frankfurt Airport has differing parking possibilities for business travellers, holidaymakers, short-stay or rail customers. There are over 14,000 parking spaces in the terminal carparks with quick access to the terminals, both arrivals and departures. You can get yourself a cheaper parking space with the online early-booker rate. There is a free shuttle bus connecting holiday parking to the south of the airport and terminals 1 and 2.

Check-in desks are in terminal 2, pier E, level 2, desks 943-945.
