Prague - golden city on the Vltava

Many people say Prague is the most beautiful city in Europe. Visitors are entranced by the fairy-tale architecture and ambiance. Gothic churches stand by side by side with ultra-modern buildings and classical music joins in with jazz and rock. The whole of the city centre was rightly proclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city offers some of the best beer in the world, so visit one of the many hospodas (pubs). Tip: for nightlife head to the Mala Strana (lower town).

Finding your way to and from the airport

Car:

From central Prague follow airport signs to Kladno or Slaný.

Bus:

There are minibus stops outside the arrivals hall. Number 119 goes to Dejvická, which is the nearest metro (underground) station with trains to Prague.

There are taxis outside the arrivals hall. Ensure you get a registered taxi from the taxi rank.

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

At the airport

Praha-Ruzyne Airport is 20 km north-west of the city centre in the Ruzyne district.

Parking:

There are parking facilities in front of the North Terminal, including short and long-term parking, as well as a multi-storey car park.
