Travelling to and from London-Stansted Airport (STN)

Car:

The airport is on the M11. From London take exit 8a, from Cambridge exit 8. The airport is well signposted.

Rail:

The Stansted Express operates regular services directly to Liverpool Street Station. Journey time is only 45 minutes.

Bus:

There are bus connections to London Victoria Station and Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The Stansted/London-Airbus (A6) runs around the clock, at 20-minute intervals at peak times and every 30 minutes otherwise. Stansted Airport Cars (Tel: +44 (0)1279 662 444) offer services from the airport to the centre of London. Journey time is at least 60 minutes

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

At London-Stansted Airport (STN)

Stansted Airport is a quiet airport around 60km east of London. It has good connections to the city centre. It has one terminal and arrivals and departures are on the same level. There is an information counter in the international arrivals hall.

Due to increased security checks we recommend you be at check-in 2 hours before departure.

Parking:

There are short and long-term parking spaces. Short-term parking spaces are directly next to the terminal building. For cheaper rates book a space in advance on the airport’s homepage: http://www.eparking.uk.com/.

Passengers needing a long-term parking space get reduced rates if they contact BAA in Advance beforehand (Tel: (0800) 844 844 only from the UK).
