Leipzig - musical through and through

Leipzig is a lively city with a long tradition, known for its commerce and trade fairs. It is also a musical city, a city of publishing and the cradle of the peaceful revolution of 1989. Travelling to and from the airport Leipzig/Halle (LEJ)

Car:

Coming from Dresden on the A14 motorway or from the opposite direction from Schkeuditzer Kreuz (A9/A14), take the Schkeuditz-Flughafen exit. Coming from Leipzig city centre by car take the motorway feeder (A14).

Rail:

Leipzig/Halle Airport can be reached directly via German Railway’s AirportExpress. Trains run every half an hour from Leipzig main station to the airport station. The journey takes 14 minutes. Intercity trains stop at the airport station every hour and link Leipzig/Halle Airport to the German Railway’s long-distance network.

There are taxis directly outside Terminal B. Journey time from central Leipzig is around 30 minutes and to Leipzig main station costs around 30 €.

The airport is 18 km north-west of Leipzig next to the Schkeuditz motorway interchange. Airport information is on the ground floor in Terminal B.
