Lamezia-Terme is situated in the province of Catanzaro in the southern Italian region of Calabria. The heel of Italy is known for its high mountains, thick forests and relatively empty beaches. Travelling to and from Lamezia-Terme Airport (SUF)

Car:

The SS 19 connects Lamezia to the airport, which is well signposted. From Catanzaro, take the SS 280 and from Cosenza the A 3 (motorway) towards Reggio di Calabria.

Rail:

The airport is 2 km from Santa Eufemia station.

Bus:

Two bus companies operate services to Catanzaro (journey time 50 minutes), to Cosenza (journey time 1 hour) and to Crotone (journey time 2 hours).

Taxi:

There are taxis in front of the terminal building (Tel: +39 (0)968 51722). Journey time to Catanzaro is 30 minutes and to Cosenza around 50 minutes.

Hire cars:

There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

The airport is 3km from Lamezia, 35 km from Catanzaro and 75 km from Cosenza and has one terminal. It has a tourist information desk and a travel agency.
