Hanover - exhibition centre by Lake Masch

The regional capital of Lower Saxony has the largest exhibition area in the world. As well as CeBIT, there are over sixty other national and international exhibitions regularly held in Hanover. If you’d prefer to discover the ancient mediaeval settlement of ‘honovere’, simply follow the “red path”, a 4-kilometre long red line painted over the city’s cobbles, leading you round 36 points of interest in the old town. Or you could try the “green ring”, a circular rambling and cycle path running along the city limits.

Travelling to and from Hanover Airport (HAJ)

Car:
To reach “Hannover Airport” from the A7 Hamburg-Kassel motorway or the A2 Berlin-Dortmund motorway take the A352 airport feeder or the Langenhagen exit on the A2.

Urban railway (S-Bahn):
The station is directly in front of Terminal C. The airport is connected to Hanover’s main train station by line 5 (S-Bahn), which runs every 30 minutes from 5am to midnight. Journey time is around 15 minutes.

Bus:
The number 470 bus runs every hour from the “Langenhagen Zentrum” station to Hanover Airport. The bus stop is directly in front of Terminal C between the Maritim Airport Hotel and car park 3.

Taxi:
There are taxis at the exits of the arrivals building.

Hire cars:
There are centrally-located Sixt and Avis rental locations at all Germanwings destinations. Reserve a car here and get great bargains.

At Hanover Airport (HAJ)

The Airport Hannover-Langenhagen is located in Langenhagen, 11 km north of Hanover. It is the largest airport in Lower Saxony. The Germanwings ticket desk opens 2 hours before departure.

Check-In:

All check-in desks, baggage drop-off desks and self check-in machines are on the departures level. Check-in begins 2 hours before departure.
