Bologna - city of fine arts

The city’s nickname is “La Dotta” – “the learned one” – and this comes from its university, incidentally the oldest in Europe. Amongst the unique landmarks in the enclosed medieval city are the picturesque arcades in front of the magnificent “palazzi”. It was no surprise that Bologna was European Capital of Culture in 2000. Travelling to and from the airport Bologna (BLQ)

Car:

The city centre is 6 km from the airport. Take the ring road (tangenziale), then exit 4 and follow the signs to the airport.

Bus:

There is a bus that connects the airport with the centre of Bologna and the main train station (journey time 20 minutes).
