Our Airbus A319 aircraft are not only leaders in terms of space provided, noise control and energy use. The technology in our modern fleet is continuously kept up to date. For regular maintenance work we draw on the extensive skills of our own technical department as well as that of Lufthansa. Even colleagues on the ground receive regular training to master the specific demands of modern aviation.
All our pilots have undergone thorough training and have many years of professional experience, because when it comes to the qualifications of our pilots and crew members we make no cost savings at all. The training they get at the Lufthansa Flight Training Center in Frankfurt is actually more comprehensive than required by law. Even experienced staff, who can look back on several years of flight experience with other airlines, undergo special training again when they join us.
This is because safety has top priority above all else at Germanwings - for a pleasant flight in all areas.
